ANAHEIM, CALIF. (September 27, 2009) St. Catherine’s Military Academy celebrated its 12th Annual Fall Brunch at the Anaheim White House on Sunday, September 27. This annual event welcomes the school’s parents, alumni, and friends to celebrate the beginning of the new school year.
Among those attending were Sally Todd, assistant superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Orange; Sister Cecilia Canales, OP, Vicar General for the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, who run the school; and Sister Mary Menegatti, OP, former principal of St. Catherine’s.
St. Catherine’s Military Academy, founded in 1889 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, is an independent Catholic school with a military tradition for boys in grades Kindergarten to 8th grade. St. Catherine’s challenging and enriching program, which includes small class sizes, spiritual development, military emphasis on leadership and courtesy, athletics, music and advanced technology, prepares students for positive and successful years in high school, college, and adulthood. The school offers both day and boarding opportunities.
