ANAHEIM, CALIF. (September 19, 2009) St. Catherine’s Military Academy commissioned its 2009-2010 Board of Directors during a two-day in-service held at the Academy’s sister school, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Cañada-Flintridge.
Members of the St. Catherine’s Board attended sessions on Board governance and the Dominican charism. St. Catherine’s Military Academy is a sponsored school of the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. Members of the Boards of the MSJ Dominican Sisters’ others sponsored schools– Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco– also attended the in-service and were commissioned.

St. Catherine’s Military Academy, founded in 1889 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, is an independent Catholic school with a military tradition for boys in Kindergarten to 8th grade.
