International Program

Catholic School

St. Catherine's International Program is in its 8th decade and has attracted students from all over the world who want to learn English and experience living in America. While this program is in its fourth generation of cadets from Mexico, recent years have found cadets coming from as far away as Russia, France, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Costa Rica and Korea.

Our safe campus and caring staff provide a home-like environment for a young boy.

This program is primarily for the limited English speaking student. All foreign students are in an ESL class until their proficiency is such that they can compete academically with local students in the regular classroom. They are, however, immediately mainstreamed into the computer, music and physical education classes so that they can practice the English they learn and become comfortable in speaking it.

Steps to apply for our International Program:

  1. Call to request an application or download an application here.
  2. FAX or mail application with the required documents listed on the application.
  3. You will receive notification of acceptance by telephone.
  4. We will then mail you (by courier) an acceptance packet which includes:
    1. A Letter of Acceptance
    2. A Certificate of Acceptance
    3. A Payment Confirmation Letter that you must sign and return with the required deposit.
    4. An I-20 with instructions
    5. Bank Verification of Funds
    6. Return items "c" and "e" with your registration deposit to ensure a place for your son
  5. Contact the US Embassy or Consulate in your home country for an appointment to interview (There will be a SEVIS fee that you will be required to pay there.)
  6. That interview will determine whether you receive an F1 (Student) VISA.

Steps 5 & 6 will take approximately 1 month to accomplish.

You will need to contact the school if paying electronically.

We strongly suggest that foreign applicants applying for enrollment while visiting the United States return to their own country to change status from a Tourist VISA to an F1 (Student) VISA.
