St. Catherine's Military Academy has many opportunities for your son to explore his creativity and experience a rich culture of music and the Arts. Each grade participates in music classes weekly as part of the general curriculum, with topics ranging from ancient to modern music, world music to the history of American music. Our extensive music program offers instruction in piano, guitar, and various band instruments.
The SCMS band, the Marching Knights, participates in four parades and performs at various community concerts and three school Drills throughout the year. This is open to all cadet in grades 4 through 8. Weekly private lessons and daily formal practice are a part of each band members‘ schedule.
Our piano program is for cadets in first through eighth grades. Formal Piano Recitals occur in January and May. One hour a week of private lessons along with scheduled practice times help develop good habits in even the youngest cadets.
