What a joy it is for me to write to you as the administrator/principal of St. Catherine’s Military Academy! Since 1889, St. Catherine’s has been providing a high quality Catholic education for boys in Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. We are a prestigious, day/boarding academy with an outstanding leadership program. Each year, our graduates are accepted to the finest college prep high schools in the country.
We, the St. Catherine’s community, which includes all of our Dominican Sisters, our lay colleagues and Board of Directors, extend a warm welcome to each of you to visit our beautiful, 8 acre campus, located in sunny Southern California and two miles from Disneyland, and see our school in action! A premier Catholic education is the gift we offer to our cadets. We are proud to be the only day/boarding academy with a military tradition for young men in grades K-8 in the country. Our faculty, administration and military personnel instruct our boys in the honor of giving and receiving respect and courtesy, and how to develop personal leadership skills. We want to provide more young men with this opportunity. It has always been our mission to focus on each of our students, offering them a spiritual and academic foundation that will enhance their lives and assist them as they make their contributions to the world community.
We offer small class sizes, an outstanding sports curriculum, and individual and small class instructions in piano, guitar, and band. Each of our classrooms is equipped with a Smart Board, which enables each teacher to use creative and interactive teaching methodologies with current technology. As an international school, our English as a Second Language class is vital in helping our foreign students learn and then become more comfortable in their ease in speaking English.
